INCA is a membership organisation providing environmental and ecological consultancy to businesses in the Tees Valley since 1989.
We help our members (major industrial organizations, local authorities, regulatory and conservation organizations) to make the Tees Valley a leader in sustainable development. INCA offers 4 main areas of service to our members.

Development advice and support
The wide range of our membership enables us to facilitate discussion and achieve consensus on economic development where development proposals may impact upon the natural environment and protected nature conservation sites in particular.
Legislative Compliance
We provide confidential, expert assistance to help our members address short-term ecological and environmental issues in a compliant manner as well as ongoing strategic support in building the natural environment into their long term environmental management plans. Support to meet the requirements of the Control of Major Accident Hazard (COMAH) legislation and Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) are part of this service.
Promotion
We help our members to promote their environmental and ecological successes locally and nationally thereby raising their profile and that of the whole Tees Valley region as leaders in the field of sustainable development.
Environmental Monitoring
We manage environmental and ecological monitoring programmes in Tees Valley (including the Tees Seals programme and Little Tern Wardening). We maintain a database of species and habitats in the Tees Valley which helps to demonstrate the quality of the natural surroundings and the region's success in improving the environment. The database also underpins our work in the planning process, COMAH and IPPC.
